Re: Tune-up question on a WK?

Bump.

PCV valve for the 5.7l

I took some pics of the oil filler tube and see a ~3/4" tube connected to it, but it doesn't appear that there is any sort of valve. Does the 5.7l have a PCV valve? NAPA doesn't have one listed on its site.

^^^
The shop manual says that it does have a PCV valve and to change it at 30,000 miles, but I have yet to find any parts store that has one...haven't gotten around to calling the dealership, but I'm at a loss for it. Anyone else have any info? I would really appreciate it also!!!

Yeah, it's definitely in the manual.

Does it have to be located right at the oil filling tube or could it be further down that hose connected to it...?

Yeah, I just got back from the dealership (trying to get my maintenance records printed) and asked them where it was, lol. But yeah, I can confirm that that is the PCV valve.

Thanks for the leg work Kevin!

Re: Tune-up question on a WK?

Can anyone confirm that the SRT8 and 5.7l HEMI both use the same axles (for maintenance purposes)...?

Looks like the front are the same, C200F or C200FE (w/ELSD)

The rears are different C213R or C213RE vs. D44, but fluid change procedures are the same. Same fluid too, just no limited slip additive in the SRT8

Re: Tune-up question on a WK?

Has anyone changed their transmission fluid and both filters? What was the difficulty?

Here is my maintenance to-do list (over the next month);

To be performed by dealer/shop

To be performed myself

- Axles (Mopar® SAE 75W-140 Synthetic)
- Serpentine drive belt (p/n 53013676AC )
- Spark plugs [Mopar p/n SPRE14MCC4 (Champion 570) (0.045 gap, 16 plugs, tighten to 13 ft. lbs.*)]
- Front and rear brake pads
- Lubricate brake caliper pins
- PCV valve (53032531AE)
- 180 degree thermostat
- Cabin filter
- Check power steering fluid
- Check brake fluid
