Re: Valve stems all snapped.

Its pretty common for the sensors to freeze up or corrode apparently. I just had my new wheels put on my WK and they had to replace a sensor b/c they could not even get it off the old wheels.

I tried to get it off my wheel myself when i was prepping my stock wheels to be shipped to the buyer and i broke it more and ended up using a dremel to remove it.

Silver Limited, Glad you came over to check things out over here its a great site.
Thanks for all the pics of your jeep with the chrome wheels on it, i wanted those so badly but i could not find a set for less then $600 w/o them being in bad condition. I ended up buying JK sahara 17" moab wheels. see avitar or thread in visual mods.

There as several others out there (google for info) that mention the same problem. I had this happen on one of my TPMS valves on the Corvette a few years back. Removed the aftermarket caps and went back with the OEM plastics.
wow, interesting, I guess I will go back to the black plastic caps!

I recall the manual saying not to use metal caps, guess now I know why!

Thanks,

Too bad the chrome rogues didn't work out of you. It's become hard to find a real good set at reasonable prices, and the aftermarkets are to expensive.

Good to see another Jeep site up and running, have seen some familiar names in the brief time I've been over here. See you around the forum.

Happy New Year.

I guess I need some new TPMS valves, hopefully they will hold out till I can get new tires.

I would not chance it driving around like that, and would get them fixed asap. Just my 2 cents.
