Wagner Ceramic or Semi Metallic

Am I gonna sacrifice anything if I go with the SM?
I hear the Ceramics are very quiet.

Stock rotors on an 06' Limited 5.7

Re: Wagner Ceramic or Semi Metallic

I wanted to get ceramics but then I found out that ceramics will decrease the life of the rotors and also cause them to warp more frequently.

I'm getting Stillen Cross Drilled Rotors with Stillen Metal Matrix Pads. I know a lot of people that have been running these for thousands of miles with no usual WK rotor warping.

Good luck with whatever you choose.

Re: Wagner Ceramic or Semi Metallic

I just got done installing EBC rotors and pads all the way around on my 04. The stopping power is 1000% better, and very quiet. They were dusty the first week, but seem to be settling down..."Greenstuff 7000 series" is what I'm using up front.

I'll be doing the front of the WK soon too...with thier Ultimax rotors and pads.

Re: Wagner Ceramic or Semi Metallic

Thanks! I'm keeping an eye on EBC, but I need pads in real soon! LOL!

Anyone know what the difference is between the QC1080 and QC1181?

They both have the same description {Front Ceramic fits} on APW and Amazon...
