Water leaking

I took the Jeep to the carwash last night and when I left I noticed water was dripping every so lightly on the passenger side entry assist handle up on the A pillar. I took it apart but couldn't find out where it was coming from. Wasn't a lot but enough to make me worry. Should I replace the entire door upper sill to fix this? I checked the drain plugs for the moonroof and they were open and fine when I ran water down them. Any ideas?

Re: Water leaking

Do you have a sunroof? On my wifes Saturn, the drains were plugged, resulting in water getting in around the area you described. I've never looked at my jeep sunroof, but on the Saturn, there was a drain in each corner when the sunroof is retracted, and all four were plugged at the end of the drain tubes. Blew them out with compressed air, and no more leaks.

Re: Water leaking

I checked the drain plugs as I said above in my original post and they are clean. I haven't had the window replaced either. This just did it this time and I've had the Jeep since March and taken it to the carwash before.....maybe it was a fluke?! I'll know the next time I take it I guess.

Re: Water leaking

Try this link. It's a pretty common problem unfortunately.

Re: Water leaking

I'll try this to see if it fixes the problem. Mine leaks on the passenger right assist handle. It just drips though its not a flood or anything but it's more upsetting and embarassing in a $40K SUV.

Re: Water leaking

Mine was dripping from the driver's handle. Could be from the sun roof or as I posted around the windshield moulding.
