? weatherstripping saver?

Is there anyone that has a good material to add to the weatherstripping in the car to keep it soft and sealing? My stripping is starting to hold a deformation and I assume will soon fail to keep out wind and rain?

I am thinking silicon spray? Just wondering if anyone has any ideas or experience in prolonging the life or putting back some life into the weatherstripping?

Thanks

Re: ? weatherstripping saver?

you need a vinyl/rubber protectant.

I REALLY like my 303 Areospace protectant. its not too expensive and does a nice job.

im sure everyone that details their rigs will have a favorite..........point is, pick and USE IT!

Re: ? weatherstripping saver?

I never worried about my weatherstripping, but im sure a product as simple and available as ArmorAll would work fine if you apply it at every wash. I bet if you apply it every week or every month you will see good results.

Be *SUPER* careful with the 303 -- if you get *any* on the instrument cluster lens, it will permanently etch it!

(and that hunk 'o plastic is an expensive part.)
