Well, the starter on my Jeep went today.

Everything was fine up until today, when the key simply did not turn over. The battery is fine, all power and stuff, but not even a sound when trying to turn on the engine. No security system in the Jeep either. It's a long story, but basically my insurance policy's Roadside Assistance came, checked it out, had it towed to my dealer's mechanic, and there it is now until tomorrow. I only had the truck since Thursday, but sh*t happens I guess. So, how's everyone else's day going? lol.

Thanks bro. The sh*t was dead quiet, not one click or anything. I'm supposed to pick it up around Noon tomorrow, but i'm going to make sure they check everything in the truck so this isn't a recurring issue, meaning something else going wrong two weeks from now or whatever. Thank God nothing was out of pocket for me.

Re: Well, the starter on my Jeep went today.

bad luck early BUT, im sure you'll be ok, Jeeps are reliable for most part, low percentage have serious issues at the end of the day . Most used vehicles are tough to diagnose until you build up a relationship lol. They're a labor of love I find, you can beat on her and as long as you love her and shell thank you with reliability lol. I find those who use their Jeep and beat on em tend to have better luck than those who garage them and baby them, just my .02

I feel yer pain. Happened to me just as I was getting my trailer hooked up for a family camping trip in July. I got a click at least though.

Lol, yeah I learned that lesson from a previous forum I was on. The Jeep is back in action, I was cruising after work earlier lol. You think Black Powdercoated SRT8 rims would look good on the Jeep with off-road style tires?

Re: Well, the starter on my Jeep went today.

fawk yes. but you would need a lift to fit that combo.

nitto and bf goodrich make m/t tires for 20's but I don't think many have m/t tires in the 275/45/20 size (which is what fits in the WK wheel well with 20's w/o a lift)

Oh alright, thanks for the info bro. I'm looking into what can potentially look good and be awesome for off-roading, but still be a ride nice for the family.
