This is a nice street jeep if your into that but not for me. Not an offroader with those rims and too many sportcars would eat this up.
not really sure if ^^ relates to the topic.......

Well it kind of does. I wouldn't say the inspector would be jealous of it but less willing to let it pass inspection based on that fugazzi of a hood lol.

I'd hope that most people on here have a jeep mentality when it comes to mods. The OP should be the proud owner of a scion TC based on them bling rims and hood that belongs on a car with 1400hp. I mean good luck trying to drive over anything with a rim like that and not having to worry about messing them up.

You got to realize state inspections are really there to give the shop business because they don't really make anything on an inspection but they will gladly do a brake job. Taken from someone who used to work at a shop its a way to get people to do repairs on their cars or you wont get passed. Then again you should be keeping up on your maintenance anyway.
New Jersey is now just emissions check so it is fine.Yes it was stupid until they made the change.I have heard of obstructed view failures due to air fresheners,ez pass, and sirius radio but never failure from a lack of a sticker.Saves money by not checking for mechanical failures but I wonder what that ends up costing down the road when vehicles with no signals or brake lights or bald tires and failing brakes cause accidents.

i wish.......

its kind of funny here in CO; not one safety inspection but we do have emissions testing in the big cities.

so you can drive with bald tires, busted windshield, no lights, and no one cares.......bit if you polute the air....its off with your head!

the even BIGGER scam is now they have MOBILE test vans that are sitting on the side of the road and test you and snap the plate as you go by

Re: what!!

I agree the thieving government takes money any way they can, but everyone wants everything perfect, big fat paychecks, buldging bank accounts, exotic cars in the 5 car garage, free school for their children, no potholes in the road, and a plowed street so you can get to work in the middle of winter, free money when you get old or hurt... Its a crappy topic and while it sucks it is how the united states works. Unfourtunatly you need to take the good with the bad... or buy your own island and run it how you want and in 100 years when your bankrupt from feeding lazy sobs spending their extra money on booze and drugs instead of keeping food in their 14 kids bellies you will be charging for this stupid crap too.

Yes, a sticker is a joke, but when a car has brakes that are metal to metal, and some 19yr old mom of 3, whom is already making in government assistance what I make working my ass off with a college degree, decides so long as they continue stopping she can continue stocking her fridge with beer for her jobless baby daddy instead of making her vehicle safe for her family AND OTHERS, It is irritating.

Furthermore I have been rearended by a worthless human in an exploder with no brakes, what did he do? tried to run as I pulled into the gas station out of traffic, why? because he didnt even have a license, and he is driving a vehicle that wont stop itself. So if you are sick of paying for it move somewhere that doesnt have it, and when you do you will be bitching because some crackhead just plowed into your vehicle when a balljoing gave out on their vehicle traveling in the lane next to you.

All the money I give to the government is frusterating, but in all my life is not so bad, Ill take my 16oz prime rib and eat the crappy veggies too, and in the end its not even, but I have a place to sleep at night, vehicles to get me to and from work, and friends, family and toys to fill my spair time. Not having extra money to wipe my ass with sucks, but it is life and personally, I deal with it.

btw whats up with all this opinionated vehicle bashing? if you dont like it gtfo, he didnt make it for you
