Question what do you guys think about this Tow Hitch?

i just purchased the "curt 13251" tow hitch (link at the bottom) because it seems to be the most cost friendly and actually has a better tow rating compared to the stock hitch. curt is a good brand, and had amazing reviews so im pretty stocked on it.
what are your opinions??
also to add i have the "AWD" 4x4 model jeep (3.7L)and it does not have the tow package. Am i cool with towing or should i have any concerns? ill be towing a jetski on a 5 hour drive in about a month, so a heads up would be great

Re: what do you guys think?

1. Does that hitch come with the steel sleeves to install inside the frame rail to stop it from crushing when the mounting bolts are tightened?

2. A Jet ski isn't a heavy load, so if that is a reputable hitch and it's fitted correctly you will tow it with ease.
Ensure the trailer wheel bearings and tires are in good shape prior to setting off

A steel sleeve? i dont think Ive head of that? i would think the frame is tougher the the hitch itself, But im just assuming..

where can i get one? cuz im pretty sure it didnt come with one. The instructions say just bolt on and im ready to go

Re: what do you guys think?

I would frist try that hitch and see if you even need to add spacers. Some people have stated they did not need spacer and others stated they did. I was told directly by Hidden Hitch for the WK Grand Cherokee model hitches... that "washers may be needed to close the gap between the frame and the hitch."

If you do then just go to any hardware store or home depot and buy 12 (4 per bolt if needed, typically 2 per bolt will do the trick) grade 8 washers. ALOT of people with aftermarket hitches that have that gap use the washer trick to fill in that space.

Done.

def let us know how it works out for you!

Thanks! Someone knows their sh*t! haha
it actually comes with washers so hopefully they will be enough! i dont think they'd sell a hitch not install ready? but who knows lol i just hope its good to go!

hey btw do you have a photo of how your tires look on your jeep?
i previously had General Grabbers on my jeep and went with the Cooper AT'3s after i lifted my rig
