What do you guys use...

...on your black body molding to keep the color nice? Mine is starting to fade a little bit and I wanted a good product to keep the color nice but the lady at AutoZone couldn't understand what I was talking about. Thanks guys!

Re: What do you guys use...

I use Armor All wipes on my black trim each time I wash my Jeep. All my trim looks good as new.

Re: What do you guys use...

I dont have alot of experience with this but my old volvo v70xc had very faded trim, When I washed it I just sprayed down all the faded black trim with my no touch tire shine. It got it a nice glossy black, but as with all other options it didnt last.

the only other option which I have been told before is to use the trim paint (spray paint). I was told by a gun who worked for multiple dealers, when he was more entry level before he started wrenching they had him regularly spraying faded trim with this spray paint... I would naturally try something that is hidden first, and make sure its very clean.

Re: What do you guys use...

Mothers Back to black works well, and does not have a sheen to it like protectants; polymer protectants like armor all, etc may even cause plastics to fade in the sun. Meguires stuff is OK compared to shelf brands, but Zymol is the best I have used and provides a better, longer lasting finish.
