The Corsa sounds incredible, but flowed too well and killed the torque curve.

The stock and its modded version were quiet, but the motor didn't wanna rev.

And the Borla is a freaking beast. It drones like crazy, looks awesome, sounds awesome, and flows good but not too good.

Of course, thats the results on my modded 6.1. Other motors will have different results, due to flow and exhaust system design.

Awesome info, thanks!

Re: whats louder and better sounding????

The Magnaflow uses straight through mufflers. 3 of them. The main muffler also acts as a balance tube, with both banks flowing into a single muffler. Then there are two more straight through mufflers at the back.

Thrush Welded Exhaust

Since then I've added a CAI, ported/polished TB, and removed the resonator muffler tip.

Re: whats louder and better sounding????

I've noticed on Dodge trucks you can always tell its a truck by the sound alone even though many of them use the Hemi engine, do they use a different cam vs. the Jeep hemi? My 4.7 jeep with a magnaflow would almost pass as a Mustang since it has more of a sport car sound IMO. I guess it could be the exhaust truck guys use, Im sure they have their more popular muffler like use 4.7 and 5.7 guys with magnaflows and when I was into Mustang we all ran 2 chamber flowmasters. I like the sound of Magnaflows on the 4.7 and 5.7 but I think the Borla is the sound I would want if I had a 6.1
