^^^^

Move out of CA and you would be able to carry. No 10 round BS, no OCing with an empty gun, none of that

Re: Where to mount a hand gun Lock Box ?

In my state(CT) you have to mount the lock box as far away from driver as possible. I mounted mine behind the rear seat and attached it to my sub woofer box. Since its mounted vertically, i placed magnets on one side of the box so it grabs the slide of the gun. It works very well and puts the gun in the position to grab it fast in a normal position. This setup works well for me because i was able to mount it to the sub woofer box. Only drawback is pretty much the law, which states its got to be mounted so far back.

Re: Where to mount a hand gun Lock Box ?

One more huge plus factor in having a lockbox for your pistol other then it being secure when you are not in the vehicle, Atleast here in Missouri as well as most CCW states that You weapon CANNOT be readily accessible if you have had enough to drink to blow over .02 (thats half a budlight) So if you are Carrying and stop for a beer with a couple buddys get pulled over cop has a since that you are drinking (cop knows already that you are ccw by the time he gets to your window most of the time) thats a felony. BUT if your weapon is not readily accessibly (aka lockbox) you are safe..

Re: Where to mount a hand gun Lock Box ?

I just bought my XD9 sub compact at the gun show this weekend. I have about 4 more months until i can take my carry class... Then have to wait for paperwork from the class to go though, but until then I need to get the jeep ready because I cannot carry my weapon at work or school. So this may be just the thing. Although I may break out the welder and try to beef up the side of the box and that.
