5,000 miles past service date?

Re: Why would my engin light be on?

Go get the code read somwhere, as it is free service at most all Auto parts stores. If the check engine light is on solid and not flashing, you can drive it with no problem. If it is flashing there is a serious issue.

Its solid, only a dealership here will read a code.

I drove the kids 15km's to day care & home, no problems.

Re: Why would my engin light be on?

I've had that darn light come on once because of the fuel filler cap not being closed properly and another time because I didn't use it for a month. Supposedly the gas got stale...

Re: Why would my engin light be on?

its usually some sort of emissions or fault with that light....use the key dance methos to pull the code like suggested and we can go from there. Dont go to a dealer yet.

Re: Why would my engin light be on?

Code was po406, something about the exhaust sensor thingy. $40 for a new part for US.
