Looking at those. Will the CAI provide sufficient intake for the catback (always hearing about losing back pressure, bla bla bla). Want to know if these two will be ready to rumble once installed or if the flashpaq is required to tune the car properly afterwards.
yeah ive searched about it but had one person claim the 2.5" catback was sufficient with the 3" muffler. But since im adding the CAI I wanted to know if the bigger catback was a better idea for max effect.
Ouch!! That's a steep price, IMO. Do you have a good exhaust system shop near you? If so, have them give you a quote. I had a custom 3 in. setup built for my 06 WK Hemi, using a Magnaflow 14589 muffler and two 3 in. X 12 in. glass packs all for $400. Sounds good and passes the wife test.
Id suggest next purchase be a diablo/sct/or superchips tuner to maximize your increased flow. I have the afe stage 2 and cutout magnaflow muffler and superchips with the additional transmission application and wow.. its really changed how the jeep runs. (FREAKING GOOD lol)
Have the same setup (catback and CAI) and I love mine. Almost like a sleeper - very quiet under normal operations, but put your foot into it and it turns heads.
I have the same setup (Magnaflow cat back and Airaid CAI) and it works real well. Just a slight rumble at cruise (no drone) and quite abit louder on agressive acceleration. I don't see a need for other changes to make it work well.
