Are most of you guys running the gibson catback? Im wondering if i can run it without the tip? Dont know if the exhaust fumes will damage the bumper paint

I personally have the borla cat back but soon to be magnaflow dual in and single out. I agree with jeff.. run the tip or if you dont want it showing go to a shop and get a turn down so you don't ruin your bumper.

Is it worth it to spend the extra $ on a stainless set up? Leaning towards gibson
And they have both stainless and alumnumized

Stainless wont rust out and the aluminum will rust on you.

Re: Wk 3.7 mpg tips/mods?

I have a 3.7 and I'm only getting an average 14.7 miles per gallon. But I don't have the front airdam, 2" lift, 265/65/18 tires and I think the roof rack makes a difference also. Only performance thing I've done so far is an intake, before I do anything else I want to get a tuner.

Re: Wk 3.7 mpg tips/mods?

I would go back to the NGK 6987 plugs. They won't last as long, but they are the original plugs and I've found Jeeps run better with original plugs. I put Bosch d-platinum in my 04 4.0 L and the engine ran worse and MPG went down. Went back to NGK cheap OE plugs and performance improved. Go figure...

You're kidding right?? Yea that air dam does make a slight difference but not nearly as much as putting a lift on.

Re: Wk 3.7 mpg tips/mods?

I got my 3.7 in Aug 2014. Fitted freeflow stainless exhaust, no cats, using unichip to please the lambda sensors, then 2.5" lift but still 245 tyres.
Using 5W20 Liqui Molly.
Done nearly 9000 km and getting around 14 to 15 l/100km in town and 11.5 to 12.5 l/100km on open road. But speed below 125km/hr.
