WK Brake Job

Hi guys, I'm in need of a new brake job on my 2007 WK Limited.
I took the liberty and bought the drilled/slotted rotors with ceramic pads for all 4.
Now, the problem I am facing is finding a shop that would install them for me and I can't... I called several shops (chains and small mom and pop's) and none would do it. I can understand them not trusting the parts, but the way I see it, either I need to do it myself (which I can't) or return them, and I don't really want to do that...
Does anyone out there know of any place around zip 19464 that would do this?
These are brand new parts.
Any response would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Re: WK Brake Job

You could try posting an ad on craigslist for brake work needed, alot of mechanics will ''moonlight'' on weekends doing side work for cash. Obviously, ask to see his certifications or credentials.

I don't have the tools or the knowledge to tackle that myself.
Thanks for suggesting it...

Re: WK Brake Job

You really only need a few sockets and to borrow someones jackstands and floorjack.

Don't I need to be bleeding the brake lines, and worry about fine adjustments, etc?
Taking the wheels off and stuff I can manage...
You have to realize I'm a computer guy, I do web hosting/web development for a living. I am technically inclined, but I am worried that my lack of knowledge when it comes to mechanical work I've never done before, may open up a can of worms...
On top of that, this is my daily driver, so I can't not have a car for a while.

Re: WK Brake Job

You shouldn't have to bleed the break lines or anything, provided you don't get air into the system during the swap.

If you look at this write up:

How-To: Change Front Brake Pads (WK)

It goes over the process for the front, and links to a write-up to the rear.

It really isn't a bad job at all - but read it over and see if you can handle it...you might be surprised how easy it is!
