I am wonding how hard is it to carpet the dash and stuff !![/QUOTE said:
I was looking into this some time back myself and had talked to a couple shops. What I got in most cases was that it is rather complex due to the fact that the whole dash area is of one piece and that the surface areas are relatively complex in shape and angles.

I had read on a couple forums from DIYers that it was not all that complicated because, if you choose the right fabric, for most of the surface its stretched and glued with only a few seams and that seems to be the case from your pictures ... do you have pics of the dash on the passenger side ?

IN any case, you would need to remove the entire dash part to be able to wrap the whole thing and that's no small undertaking but one you would have it out, this is what it would look like for an 05'

Front view:

The top side looks better

A lot of small details to get it right

Does anybody know about a guide to take the dash out ?

Awesome Pictures ( rvtifer ) !!

I wish Some one would have the guide to taking the dash out.

I am thinking about taking my dash out and painting it Black. I have the same interior color ( as the Pictures ), and i think it doesnt suit my new paint job anymore.. but i am afraid to go into that mod :( . i havent made much research about dying the carpets, changing the headliners, pillars, and dying the leather seats yet :(

I have taken out my S-10 dash out a couple of times, but it havent settled perfectly in its OEM place as it should everytime i install it again.. its hard work.

I'll take the seats!!! Nothing else....nice though

I like the black portion of it...not a huge fan of the red fabric....reminds me of fabric from a coffin.
Sorry.......I give the guy credit for the amount of detail and hard work that went into it though!!! NICELY DONE!!!

the carbon fiber benzel is niiiice. not feeling the quilted look.

I love everything but the diamond stitch in the red fabric parts.

An all-around great interior.. so much detail, but what's up with the Che accents? Looks like someone misses the motherland..

Hamze, Happy independence day.

Check out what some guys have done

I am not sure how this was done and remember reading about a debate over this without the own clarifying. Anybody know this car ?

The carbon fiber impression was done by patterntek if memory serves me well.

Its the visible three conventionality of the surface that casts doubt on whether its painted or not.

Center parts painted ...and note the doors top which are wrapped with the nefty dry carbon fabric

Cannot remember who this is but its a fantastic job. Also with nefty

this guys install is very, very clean

This is mine, done with Di-Noc which is more matte that the nefty

Again in mine ... I know its dirty

Hey Herve! :) thank you for your wishes.

very nice work with your jeep! the 3M stuff is awesome on your jeep (Y) .

didnt like the painted interior work in the other jeep ...

Damn that 3M carbon fiber stuff looks amazing. Just might have to get some and cover up the wood trim parts in my WK Limited. If it is as easy to work with as the videos on the web would suggest, I can think of all sorts of uses for the stuff on my WK and Mustang! :D

I am sure that the guys in the video have an extensive experience but I had never worked with vinyl before this and, after a couple times, got used to it. Did the install myself ... but it took me a couple failures and some getting used to. Dooable without a doubt.

Both interiors are Hawt!!!!!

lol.... yeah it is sick bro.

That interior looks amazing, Alcantara is a great material for the dash/door cards. I'd love to get my door cards coated in it or leather, I don't think it'd be cheap though...

I like the 2nd interior posted by Rv, not a big commie fan so can't say I enjoy the first. Having a Communist plastered all over a $45k American muscle SUV is too much of an oxymoron for me. =D Maybe if it was all black and had John Rambo in the steering wheel.

Most seem to be on the fence on the interior posted by Hamze. For those who like the alcantara but also like it more conservative .... what about this one.

It seems like its tough to keep looking good since everytime you touch it it leaves marks. I'd like to see a black carbon dash.

Check out some pics of the build that Hamze originally posted.

And you better believe that they took everything apart …

The trim was wrapped in carbon fiber, apparently a “simple” overlay job …

Some other parts relieving a carbon fiber wrap but it looks like they he decided to go with alcantara with some of the pieces after wards …

Some of the end products, having this type of finish on such small pieces requires a lot of skills …

The seats were also wrapped with carbon fiber but vacuum bagged …

Taking shape …

Everything falling into place

You got to admire the level of detail …
