The issue with the butyl in a roll like that is that its too much, too thick, i tried it. 3M sells the same stuff called window-weld ribbon. I got the smallest thickness they have and it was still to thick.

so i used 3m window weld in a big caulking gun tube. it works great but as I posted can be messy. i was thinking of taking the butyl like you show, but the 3m one, and trying to slice it in half but I havent tried that yet.

For the LED halos themselves, i prefer Flashtec because:
1. aac has lots of complaints, especially from jeep guys and i feel like they sold the CCFLs and casued a few cars to go on fire. they have no problem selling stuff that can cause harm

2. flashtec provides and adjustable voltage regulator. the problem is most LEDs are made to withstand 12 v. if you test the jeep, it sends 14.4 to the lights. could overhaet the LEDs, not good.

BUT

you will need to check with Flashtec if they have any more Jeep ones in stock. last time I contacted tehm they only had a few left.

Hello Rob,

Thanks for the reply and the info

about the rubber butyl stuff, you can elongate it with your hand, ( stretch it ) so it becomes thinner, thats what i did, so it can sit in the beads, try it, it works well.

About the Jeep thread, thank you all about the replies i will share the jeep in thread with you guys so that i can get feedback from all of u jeep masters , but i need some time till i go to my country bcz i am abroad, maybe next week tops ..

And yes, the jeep ' WAS ' 2 doors , it is currently being re-painted after removing welds and converted again to ariginal 4 doors, bcz beleive it or not, it didnt pass our country inspection !@#%$ ! i just have few pics of 2 doors conversion..

Tread is coming next week hope you like guys.

That is ****ing bull shit. Why wont it pass? Did you make it so you can get in and out of the back okay? Safe?

I would have chopped the rear doors in half and made the fronts bigger like the custom 2 door chargers that are out there.

Re: WK Headlights - Rob's version

my GUESS is that if you didnt extend the front doors and make the front seats foldable or slidable, you would have problems.

I wonder if you just took out the backseat and said it was a 2 seater now, if that could get past it.

it all depends what country and what they were inspecting it for I guess?????????

Re: WK Headlights - Rob's version

I couldn't extend the front doors, its too hard to get rid of the inner pillar between the doors and move it backward, its also hard to extend the doors, its hard and expensive job ..

I dont have back seats anymore, because i intend to install 6 woofers, facing to the roof... so no back seats..

what i did is just welded the back doors, and shaved the handles + shaved back wiper, and widend the Fender flares 1 inch on each side all around, the jeep looked good ... but... it didnt pass , bcz on papers there are no 2 door jeeps , they simply refused... and i am now, after a week gonna continue the work on reshaping the 4 doors.... Tiring work

Re: WK Headlights - Rob's version

That sounds like such a PITA. I am really sorry they had to be like that after all that work. Around here, you can find places to do the inspection that will either pass it regardless cause they want to help you out or they just dont care and then you just register it as what you want for the most part.

People take regular Cherokee and chop the back to be like a pickup and re register as a jeep truck or take the old school Comanche pickup and re build it with 2001 XJ parts and re reg and inspect it as a 2001 jeep cherokee pickup.
