Question WK Hemi Front Diff "Clutch Solenoid"

This Week, I've had the 'Solenoid' and 'Internal Solenoid Wire' within the front Diff replaced under warranty.
The Solenoid, on inspection was burnt out and seized up - presumerly due to heat -
The Solenoid connecting wire connector was giving a high resistance joint and was also badly burnt, and neewed replacing.
The vehicle has not done an excessive ammount of off-road work, however it has done some. It has 80,000 klms on the clock.
Also, I am wondering if the front one is like this maybe the other two solenoids are the same (Center Diff and Rear diff)??????
Has anybody else had this problem, / or, know of a cause for this (apparently) common complaint...

Re: WK Hemi Front Diff "Clutch Solenoid"

Make sure the diff is filled till overflow with oil. There are reports of diff failures with the "factory fill", which is 1 cm below the fill port. Also change the oil every 15k miles (both diffs), with good quality synthetic gear oil plus additive.

Re: WK Hemi Front Diff "Clutch Solenoid"

proper maintenance is all you need. everything in these jeeps seems to be very picky about exact oil levels. my solenoid was replaced under warrenty about 5 months ago. but i have had no more issues since
