I had them in my X5. No one really got in the back. I kept them up all the time...

Re: WK Sunshade?

Those are neat and I guess you just throw them in the back when not in use?

I always thought it would be cool if oem would put a windshield sunscreen on where you either pull it down from the headliner, or it was automatic; either way running down tracks and clasping onto bottom somehow. I would think liability (for dummies who think you could drive with it on) would deem it hard for them to come out with that though.

Ford had (and you can get for home use) proposed tinted windows that used an electrical signal to black them out when you parked and go anywhere between that and translucent with varying voltage. Would think it would have to be "fail open" though. Imagine it failing in the pitch black night, ha ha.

btw - you should be able to make something custom pretty easily for your windows. Imagine you could get that fabric at a number of places and esp a fabric store and be creative with the border (if you sew, they have that perimeter trim) and use suckers or whatnot to attach. If we had enough gap and you made it as such, could squeeze it in between the tracks.

Exactly.

I like your train of thought sir. Good thinking. Certainly would be a good project to kill time.

Re: WK Sunshade?

imagine driving around with these on the front door glass and the cop pulls you over, you then hide these things before he walks up to your window.

Re: WK Sunshade?

They come on the rear windshield and rear windows on my mom's 08' 750li. They do help keep the temperature down on a hot day. I just don't like driving with them up that much because they do make it hard to see, especially in such a long sedan where you need to turn your head a little.

Re: WK Sunshade?

Do 35% tint over your stock window and it will get you down to about 7-8%. the stocks are already tinted but no UV A or B protection..
