WK Tow Hitch options?

What im looking for is a receiver that does not hang below the bumper (OEM style, but not oem price)

I don't want to sacrifice ground clearance by using any reese hitches that hang low as hell..

Any thoughts?

oem is your best bet... cleanest look, almost like it belongs there =)

Re: WK Tow Hitch options?

My Curt hitch only hangs down roughly 3-3.5" off my rear bumper. Considering it only cost $90 shipped and the most you need to do for the installation is drop the spare tire down.... so you may want to re-consider the OEM hitch, from a cost perspective. Just my .02

The amount of drop is not that much different from brand to brand, but if its not oem it just looks silly back there.

Re: WK Tow Hitch options?

It's probably 50 dollars difference between an OEM hitch and bezel and an aftermarket goofy one.

Re: WK Tow Hitch options?

So you would need to cut the bumper to put in the OEM hitch?

Re: WK Tow Hitch options?

correct, you will need to cut the oem bumper. I beleive that it will come with the proper template.

Re: WK Tow Hitch options?

Does the hitch and template come with the plastic to cover the cuts?

Re: WK Tow Hitch options?

Hey I just did this to my WK the bezel and hitch are sold separate from Jeep. Not hard to do just take your time and be careful I cut my finger pretty bad whn doing this, and make sure you protect the bumper from scratches when trying to make the cut for the bezel. There is an outline for the cutout on the back of the bumper cover. Hard to see but it's there. GOOD LUCK!
