So yesterday I decided to winterize my block due to the fact that I live in fairbanks AK... Normally this is a really easy process. So in order to install a block heater on a 5.7, you have to remover the plastic fender well cover on the drivers side, the front left tire, skid plate, and the starter. the heaters placement is right above the the starter, when I was securing the block heater I dropped the screw that goes into the block down DEEP into the bell housing.... as soon as i did this i realized my "opps" and tried using every method i could think of to try to get the screw ...my self and 3 of my friends looked for a service port in the bell housing and nothing. so eventually after complaining for about and hour i decided to drop the trany... So I Took off the drive shafts and unbolted the bell housing, as i was pulling the trany off the block I realized i did have a service port to the bell housing....FML so i unbolted the cover and the screw was stuck between the bell housing and the flex plate....
