*WTF* How do I get the lower valence off (clips by fog lights)

I'm working on removing the lower valence to install the chrome overland trim for the lower bumper insert.

I got the spring clips, twist cips, and am working my way around the bumper fitment clips that are right above the fog lights (follow the lower bumper line).

No pics, but can post...

Do I just pull l ike all hell? I sure don't want to break anything...

I've been using this as a reference:
How To: Overland Bumper Insert & Lower Valance Mesh on 08 WK

However, there seems to be some alignment tabs or something that hold the bumper alighed with the primary bumper... those alignment tabs are 'stuck'.

Is there tape from the factory? More slips? 6 spring clips, at least 5 twist clips, 3 bolts, etc...

What am I missing?

Re: *WTF* How do I get the lower valence off (clips by fog lights)

whew! Got it!

Next question... also putting in some xentec HID fogs...

It looks like if I plug the harness in 'as is' - the harness + wire for the fogs is black... and the white/orange stripe is '-'?

Does that sound right?

DO I need to swap pins in the harness?

Re: *WTF* How do I get the lower valence off (clips by fog lights)

I got the mod done... It wasn't as 'easy' for me as it was for some of you. My lower bumper valence was not cooperative in popping off...

But - it worked. Took a while longer than expected to drill out mounting holes for the peice.

In the end, well worth it.

I like the chrome touches on the limited that they took from the Overlander -- door handles, grill, roof rails, window molding, rear bumper, rear hatch, etc... I'm not a chrome whore, but it pops a little.

I'm glad it worked out for you, but drill mounting holes??? I didn't have to drill anything.

I had to open up holes in the lower bumper for the trim to mount to.

I used the write up from 08Hemi.

It all worked out nicely. Well worth it.
