Re: WTH is wrong with my jeep?

no light, its a slight surge, doesnt really bother me, its just if someone wants to test drive it, and they feel that, it'll bring the price down

Re: WTH is wrong with my jeep?

Have you done plugs recently? The wifey had that issue with her 3.7 and shortly after it started doing it, it threw a cylinder misfire code and ran like shee-at. I changed plugs and everything cleared up. Hers is an ETC too.

I also don't think the 3.7 requires a trans fluid service per the manual...so if you're going to do that and plan on selling soon, I'd leave it for last since you're not really doing anything wrong by NOT doing it.

Re: WTH is wrong with my jeep?

Changed my plugs and it still did it. It's a shifting issue in the PCM. There is a TSB for it. The software update solved mine. And my fluid's color indicated that it needed to be changed. I'd change the trans fluid every 30,000 or 40,000 miles even though it's a 3.7

And I mean change not flush.

Does anyone know the TSB number for this issue? I have the same problem, and I am going to call my dealership on Monday, but I wanna make sure I know what Im talking about before I call them.....

I found this site with all of the TSB's for WK's, but I cant find the one for this "surging" issue...??? http://www.wkjeeps.com/wk_tsb.htm

Thanks in advance!

ATF +4 is dyed fluid, it is CLEARLY stated in ALL service information EVERYWHERE that talks about the fluid that the fluid will discolor over time and using color to diagnose burnt or dirty transmission fluid is not accurate. It states you cannot deturmine the condition of the fluid by color, furthermore it states even smell is not a good indicator with the atf+4. I am a firm believer that fresh fluid wont hurt anything (but your pocket book and the environment) but even then most newer chrysler trans are a 100+k mile service interval... look in your owners manual for your specific vehicle.

EDIT: keeping in mind with my first sentance I consider the fact that you may not have access to this information and were suggested this by your dealer
