Hello WKen. Sorry it took so long for you to get a response but hopefully I can explain this easily. Before I begin let me say thank you for not being one of those guys who puts HID's in their halogen headlights.
First you could find those about $80-$100 cheaper on eBay. Thought it would be good to let you know you could save a few bucks
You would need a few things to make them work.
- Canbus Relay Harness
- OEM Ballast (search for "Valeo 6g ballasts". I am unsure of the price.)
- D1s bulb (theretrofitsource.com has sets at $50)
Do you have any junkyards nearby??? You could go pull off a complete OEM set from a trashed WK and put them on. You could even open them and paint them black or whatever color you would like. (This would honestly be the EASIEST
The aftermarket branded headlight assemblies have projectors in them that are not quite up to snuff <in my honest opinion>.
^^^ That is the reason why I am currently doing a (overly complicated) retrofit on my aftermarket assemblies. If you feel like you'd want to do something like that I'd be more than willing to help answer any questions you have.
I can also link you to the build if you would like me to.
