'09 WK Pioneer AVIC-x910BT Install Help

Pioneer is asking to connect to the "car speed signal" for the Navigation part of this radio...also it wants connection to the parking brake (which I can locate) but do both of these signals come up to the factory radio wiring or somewhere close??? thanks

Re: '09 WK Pioneer AVIC-x910BT Install Help

i have the avic f90BT. i know my installer was able to find everything using just the factory connectors. he didnt have to run any seperate wires anywhere.....so it all should be there.

here is alink where you can see all the factory connectors and pinouts. this may help identify what you are looking for.

i assume you are using the PAC or maybe the metra harness and can bus interfaces?

also, does your Jeep have the BA system, speakers and amp to start with?

Re: '09 WK Pioneer AVIC-x910BT Install Help

I have the Larado with the cheap RES stereo..I don't think there is a separate Amplifier but I'll see when I get into it...I'll check the wiring link and I do have the CAN2 adapter and another one for the steering wheel interface..hopefully it is all there. thanks for the help

Re: '09 WK Pioneer AVIC-x910BT Install Help

If you get a Metra Electronics XSVI-6502-SWC harness it will have the VSS wire, Parking Break, and reverse wire inputs on the harness. That's the one for a non-amplified system.

Re: '09 WK Pioneer AVIC-x910BT Install Help

One more quick question: Is there a GPS antennae connection or do I have to use the one that comes with my radio...I think mine has either a Satelite Radio and/or GPS antennae just above the hatch...thanks

Re: '09 WK Pioneer AVIC-x910BT Install Help

I believe the antenna is on the same place (Under Dash) on the 09. I don't know if the connection is the same. If it is you can try it, but if not you should run the one that came with the AVIC up through the a pillar to your roof.

Re: '09 WK Pioneer AVIC-x910BT Install Help

i put my avic supplied GPS antenna under the dash as far as I could with some sticky tape.
with the slope of the wk windshield it gets a great signal. and factory does the same.

Re: '09 WK Pioneer AVIC-x910BT Install Help

Is the 6502-SWC the same as the -NAV?? These kits are really hard to identify on their web site...
