Re: $300 Gift Card for alarm/remote start.

i just see it like, hey if the high school kids/installers at best buy do it regularly, then we can figure it out, right?

Long story. She is a really awesome girl, but I am just really F'd up. You know the saying nice guys finish last, and that girls like bad boys, well thats 100% true. Im sure you experienced it, a girl you really really like walks all over you, but the girls you dont care about cling to you. So basically I dont give an F and get whatever i want. Its sad but true.

Thats pretty funny, I guess it is true though. Saw a guy on dr phil one time and he was debated with people whether his book was ethically right. He taught men how to get alot of sex with women. His basic strategy was to not give the woman that much attention but just enough to make them feel like you should be giving them more attention or that you dont care much about them, thus they would sleep with you, lol.

Re: $300 Gift Card for alarm/remote start.

I'm pretty sure 'the12v' has the wiring diagrams for the WK (for alarm installs).

Re: $300 Gift Card for alarm/remote start.

timmy, i had the viper remote start on my jeep i got it installed in 07 right after i bought my jeep. i was actually working at best buy and i knew the guys at the car install they hooked it up for me, but regular price on the install andparts it atleast $500 from BB that is. but it literally took them the whole day. Also had to buy some extra parts, not only that i had to give up a key. Im doing it all over again but getting the new VIPER alarm that is just out the VIPER 5901. They took the old one out for me already but i need to make time to leave my car the whole day so they can work on putting in the new one. The reason why im switching it is because i wanna upgrade and there is an iphone ap thats sick, that allows u to turn on the car from ur iphone. but u also have to purchase the software which is expensive aswell.

Re: $300 Gift Card for alarm/remote start.

I went to that shop, and basically the cheapest price they want for a remote/alarm with install is over $500. I personally do not care or have a need for a remote start, since my WK heats up really quick even in the coldest mornings. I am just going with the Avital OEM alarm, which lets me use my factory key fob, has a sirene, sensors, and just the basic alarm. I have researched alot on sites like 12volt.com and downloaded alot of usefull wiring diagrams for the 05 WK. The shop wants $220 for the OEM alarm installed, so that sounds the best to me without having to worry installing an alarm myself and messing something up. Plus I get the garauntee with it being "professionally" installed. Adding a remote start they told me i need all these extra wires and crap, the price added up really quick, for something I really dont need.

Re: $300 Gift Card for alarm/remote start.

Here the new pics with my rims with the machined face, polished lip, and black windows. The only thing im still waiting on is the machined center caps, it will make the rims look completely different because right now they look like they have too much black.

Re: $300 Gift Card for alarm/remote start.

I dont have time to read through all the posts here by do it yourselfers but PLEASE guys DO NOT try and install a remote start in your WK. They are not a basic install. Your working with a 10 amp power circuit at the column, your starter wire and acc wire are the same wire. They both have a different negative resistance. You can cause about $6500 worth of damage in all of about 3 seconds if you hook something up wrong. I charge $280 for an avitel installed. Thats just a remote start and keyless. $400 will get you the alarm and remote start. INSTALLED. And with no key loss which you guys all know about. Sometimes it's just not worth trying to do this stuff yourself. I dont doubt that a few people here can figure this stuff out but id say most cant. Atleast not on an electrical system like this. Just a little friendly advice not trying to put anyone down. Just trying to save someone a whole lot of $ and time. Ah yea if you did try it yourself and mess something up, say bye bye to your electrical system warranty.
