Accurate answers for ipod integration please.

I hope someone can help me with this question, also, I don't mean to beat a dead horse......
My 05WK has a REC radio with Mygig/uconnect VES and no back up camera.
What I ultimately want is ipod integration that I can control through the head unit. I really would like to stay away from FM frequency modulation/cigarette lighter adapters. I was told that mopar had a kit to allow this but it has been discontinued. I also would like to stay away from a setup that would eliminate the ves, satellite presets or other functions the factory set up has. I've heard about lock picks, hard wired fm modulation etc. I've been doing so much reading, my head hurts. I'm just not sure what is the best setup to go with.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Accurate answers for ipod integration please.

Well i just put a Direct FM Modulation kit in my truck with my Factory REC Radio and it works amazingly well no static or noise. i mean the ipod control however must be done on the ipod so you may not like it but for me it works well and clean install. check it out here. http://jeepgarage.org/showthread.php?t=13096

Re: Accurate answers for ipod integration please.

Sorry to hijack, but mine came with the ipod kit from the factory and mine is an 08 if that helps. But what I want to know is/if they make an extension kit for it, as it makes it very hard when I have to have my iPhone in the glove box and messages etc come through or I want to make a call and the voice control at times will not work. Any help would be great. Thanks
