Re: Added Sub/Amp/Bass-knob to Boston Acoustics

Can anybody help me ? I am trying to add an amp and sub to the 2014 JGC factory system. Currently I have tapped into the rear passenger door speaker but my signal when put out through the LOC is not putting out as it should and the sub does not hit hard. Where do I need to tap into to get a better signal? Is my signal bad bc I am getting the feed after the amplified output? Any help would be more than appreciated.
Thanks

I had a similar-ish issue. Hooking up to the front door speaker wires solved it for me, might work for you too. A Lott more bass signal is sent up front.

Re: Added Sub/Amp/Bass-knob to Boston Acoustics

Thank you. I wasn't sure if I need to tap into the signal before it is amplified and I don't know if that is done in a seperate amp or is it in the factory head unit of my 2014 Jeep Grand Charokee. The signal I got off the rear doors does not even hit hard and the RMS is matched 100 % to my amp. Any other thoughts?

You'll find that the head unit is filtering what is sent to the rear doors (via high pass/low pass filters).
Tap into the fronts and you'll probably find a much wider frequency range which you will filter yourself with your equipment..
