Adding an Amp

I have a RAQ radio with a PIE ipod interface. I'm looking at getting the Sony Xm-4s amp (only for it's size) to supplement the kicker upgrade speakers. Would I need to get another PIE type interface to connect the speakers to the amp? Would I loose the ipod connection?
