Re: Aftermarket NAV Upgrade Install Questions...

My first pioneer i did the relay myself. On this one I bought it from ebay shipped for like $15 bucks and it comes with instructions to wire it up. I still have the instructions for it that i can take a pic of if needed. Here's a link for the unit http://cgi.ebay.com/PIONEER-DVD-BRAK...item1e60c45cff

Re: Aftermarket NAV Upgrade Install Questions...

Here are pics of the one that I did with the same relay from radio shack.

The green wire is the parking brake wire. The grey is ground and the blue you tap into your remote wire coming off the back of the deck. You connect pin 86 to 87 then out to ground. Pin 85 is the blue remote and pin 30 is the green parking brake wire.

Re: Aftermarket NAV Upgrade Install Questions...

there is room below the deck. i also used LOTS of tywraps to keep it all neat as possible/

my FM Antenna plug always wants to fall out. that COULD be the cause of your static.

Re: Aftermarket NAV Upgrade Install Questions...

Do you have static on yours?

I have my pioneer and sirius adapter off to the right behind the vent and the scosche off to the left behind the vent...i believe it is my wiring harness that is causing the static...
