Im going out in a bit to do a few more things, I got some cans of expandable spray foam im going to shoot behind the plastic panels at the wheel wells and near the back and going to apply membrane at the fire wall and under the carpet at the foot rests on the interior. Still have to do my doors but its drizzling out. The weather has been crap the past week here in new England.

Oh, and I did notice there already is a spray foam type material back there, I noticed some coming up from under the metal floor at the bumper area. When I installed my side skirts I even noticed foam in the rocker panels.
Very nice Timmy! Looking forward to seeing all the hard work!

Re: AUDIO//QUESTION FOR MATT OR some1 who knows about audiooo

I thought the same thing at first until i read the specs on WKjeeps.com where it lists the front door speakers as woofers. I would eventually like to tap in to the factory amp and make them regular speakers. is there a way to do that matt or do i need to change the whole amp?

Ideally, you wouldn't want to (speaking from a technical perspective). The reason they are woofers and not full range drivers is this creates an "ideal" sound stage. I put that in quotes because this is all subjective and what is considered ideal by some may not be for others. A car stereo built for sound quality only has one driver (per side) producing a certain frequency range. This eliminates source confusion (i.e. same frequencies arriving at your ear at different times). If you ever sit in a car with a properly built stereo, you'd never go back to using a bunch of full-range drivers

Anyways, to answer your question... no. The filtration occurs at the amplifier and the channels that are feeding the woofers their signal is only capable of producing that signal (30-500hz). You would need to get an aftermarket amplifier to bypass the crossover network.

Re: AUDIO//QUESTION FOR MATT OR some1 who knows about audiooo

Ok, see the problem i feel that i am running in to now is that i am so used to having bass only from the background form the sub that i feel there is too much bass(its set at the neutral setting on the radio for the jeep speakers) but it does not feel like there is too much coming just from the sub.

I am looking for very loud clear music with the bass of my choice. I have yet to upgrade the speaker wires or the rear 6.5s.

Re: AUDIO//QUESTION FOR MATT OR some1 who knows about audiooo

Not to thread jack but,

I have the stock sound system on the wk and I simply use the aux output to connect to my phone/or iPod. I was just wondering if there was a cord I could connect to the aux so I could hear/talk on the phone through my speakers. I know its ghetto, but I'm just being practical.

Thanks guys.

Hmm, when you set the gain on your amp (for your sub) did you level it with the rest of the stereo? If you're looking for loud then get 4 channel amp and some new 6x9's for the front doors. Then you'll be in business.

I'm pretty sure all you'll need is an adapter (2.5mm >> 3.5mm), assuming your phone's audio output is 2.5mm, then use the same cod you are using now. That will get the phone to be played on your speakers. You'd still need to use the mic on the phone though.

Your phone has a 3.5mm out on it? If so, then you are already set-up to do it; just simply plug your current cable into the phone/stereo. I assumed your phone had a smaller (2.5mm) stereo output.

Yeah, you had it right then. That cord will only transmit audio from the phone to your speakers. But, you still are going to have to use the mic built-in to the phone to communicate back to them.

The only way around that is to purchase a real blue tooth kit (that has a mic).
