Aux/Ipod Integration For '05 WK

Hi All. been searching on here and am not finding a clear answer to my options for an Aux cable addition to my REF Boston Acoustics Radio. I don't have rear DVD. Local Car Audio place tried a PAC adapter but had issues getting the radio to recognize it. When selecting AUX on the radio, it would briefly play but then the radio would revert back to FM Tuner. Tried over and over with the same result. Any tips? Which PAC Adapter is everyone using with this REF/Boston Acoustics Radio?

Re: Aux/Ipod Integration For '05 WK

the way that Matt, I and some other members have done is use the aux cable directly from the ipac adapter into the headphone jack of the ipod ... u wont be able to use the ipod from the REF radio but will have to do it manually from the ipod ... plus u dont overcharge ur electronics and burn them ...

Matt has a more detailed way of doing ... I will lurk around to find his post

answer to ur question if u've already tried that method and still going back to FM tuner it's the harness that's bad ...

I actually prefer Aux method for the reasons you mentioned. So you think the PAC harness is bad? Which PAC adapter part # are you using? I see you have an 06.

I tried the AAI-CHY Pac Adapter. Looks like it is the one for my REF/Boston Acoustics radio. Like I mentioned earlier, sound would play briefly when I select AUX on the radio but then it would switch right back to FM Tuner
