I have the basic 6 speaker stereo system and I'm considering buying an all Infiniti reference speaker system.

They don't handle a lot of power so I'm just looking for the best head unit to run them with. Possibly a screen. But no $1K screen! Lol

Any/all input appreciated:thumbsup:

i just bought JVC KW-AVX740 for my silverado and the unit is pretty good for the price (350+ on ebay)

best thing about it is that i can use my iphone to stream video / audio as well as use an app called motionX gps drive to stream a Nav screen on to the unit. pretty cool feature imo.

Take a look at the Pioneer DEH-7200HD I had one in my Silverado before I bought my Jeep.

I like Pioneer because of the quality is offers.

The only other HU I'll buy is Alpine.

Me too man. I've had no problems with pioneer in the past but alpines are quite delicious.

So in my research, I've found that alpine makes a "Power Pack" which acts like a mini amp that goes directly behind the HU and sends a 45x4 signal! They run $99 w/ shipping on eBay, but they seem worth it for the power. Actually amping them is a PITA!

I might do this. Are there any good dash kits for my stock bezel that will center a single din? I hate the ears, but I'll probably end up painting it to match

$99 seems worth it to me too. It'll work with the Pioneer right?

So I've decided to go with an Alpine CDE-123, and I will use the alpine power pack. I found a dash mount kit that centers the deck without that cd tray thingy.

My question is, do I need that can-bus wire harness? It's an addition $30-60!!
I currently have the basic system. Non BA

I'm getting a full 6 speaker Infiniti reference series system to go with. Great sound for the price.

No factory amp? You might want to look to make sure. Driver side cargo panel through the vents.

If not, just get a basic harness. You will loose ACC power so just tap into the cigarette lighter/jack on the left side. The one without the battery logo. Also, the aftermarket radio won't delay with the windows anymore. It will turn off once the care is turned off.

That's it.

Not sure. I'm a little nervous about running higher octane gas. Not sure if it's healthy for the engine. I'm getting the Fastman soon though.

What else does that SCT program?

It burns slower. It requires more and stronger spark from a high compression engine.

Slower.. longer... same smell!! haha

Im not the most engine techy person to completely answer that question. All i know is my V6 is a BEAST now with the 93 tune running.

-I still need to upload a vid for ya! I never have time working 40+ hrs a week

I'd like to see the acceleration.

SO! I have gone with an Alpine CDE-123, which i just installed. I also bought 6 infiniti reference series speakers. and so far only the 3.5's are in and it sounds great! And i had the basic sound system, and with the harness i bought it stays on after the key is taken out. I didnt have to run any power wires!!

The other 4 are going in tomorrow!
