Re: Butch's 2010 install

It's totally cool. that's what I like about this site, everyone tries to help everyone, and listens to everyone's suggestions, not just jumping all over there cases when they don't agree with someone else. like on other sites. Lord knows ive been wrong before

There is no point into jumping peoples shit over this stuff. People come here to learn. I come here to show what Im up to and teach others what I know and to also learn from others who know more than me (I dont claim to be supar car audio guy).

The mentality of people who do that seriously piss me off. Most of them dont have first hand experience to begin with and are small as an individual. When I was tweaking Hondas, though a good source, I loathed logging onto Honda Tech (I was an admin for Honda Civic Forum) because there were so many 'tards on there so quick to e-thug. I used ot regularly with pleasure, ban the living shit out of those ass hats all day long.

Forums are just that, boards with information and conversations. E-Thuggery has no place amongst them. When I was admin (I think I still am, I havent checked) I found most of those kids were 15-20 year olds. All of them immature.

Re: Butch's 2010 install

E-thuggery is a good word for it. a whille back i went to one of the car audio fourms (cant rember which one) and my first post i stated an opinion on something and i was viciously attacked for no reason. and i mean running me into the ground!!! i never went back to any fourm till a few years back. Now as for experience, i have been involved in car audio since the late 80's and know a few things, but sure dont know everything. i think between everyone here we should be able to help each other pretty well.

Re: Butch's 2010 install

Yea. I remember ince I showed a forum I was at a 300whp Si that I built. It was clean, to the point function over form kind of car. If you werent familiar with the style of the car you woul dhave no clue how fast it was. I was jamming about 18psi into the intake manifold hahaha! Anyway, when I showed them the car (pictured below) there were people stepping in " Yo thats ghey man, my RSX would eat that alive blah blah blah". It urlked me because there is rarely something like that thats actually on the road, especially with like $8K into it and then have some clown come along like its absolutely nothing... a low key Civic Si achieving 0-60mph in 5 seconds? Doesnt sound very gay to me. I miss that car... and the SOUND of it!

Re: Butch's 2010 install

I had a white 89 civic 3 door wagon with blacked out windows and blacked out BBS rims with the crome lips, 2 12" orignal the punch subs powered by a linear power 3002. No turbo's it was all about looking, and sounding good. Man i loved that car. and DAM you for making me think about these painful memoires of selling it. and dont worry about jacking my thread, hell i wont have any updates to this till i get home and finish installing my amps and subs so i open this thread to anyone who wants to talk about anything, LOL

Let me just say I'm 18 and I can honestly and proudly say I have never been an e-thug. The people that do that are stupid and think they are better than others, which they obviously aren't. Not all people 15-20 are e-thugs.

I don't mind, lol. I agree with what you were saying earlier though, I as well as you, am here to learn what others are doing and help when I can. I've done numerous stereo installs and worked at a mechanic shop for a while, but I by no means know everything. And when your talking about most stuff, there's always more than 1 way to look at it. So there's no room for ass clowns in this forum!

Re: Butch's 2010 install

So if we have the BA system, do we still need Bass blockers in the Dash speakers?

Re: Butch's 2010 install

I am not 100% sure ive had people here say that the ba amp is crossed over, but just order your 3.5's, hook them up, put on some bass heavy song and watch them. if they start to jump allot then they need them. its really simple. I think 08 hemi has the ba system and just installed some 3.5's maybe he can chime in on this.
