Hi I am new to this forum .Have read lots of post for WJ and is most helpfull. My problem is I want to install a sub box in the boot but dont know where to take audio input from.My amp will take pre amp input or high power input.Do ijust take a feed from one of the rear speaker leads or is there a dedicated pre amp/sub output on the head unit . I have a WJ Grand Cherokee LTD year 2000. please help Iain

Welcome to the forum!

If your amp has high-level inputs on it (as it seems it does), then yes, you can tap into your rear speaker leads and use that as your source. Some amps (high-level inputs) will require all 4; left rear+/rear-, right rear+/rear-. Though yours may only need 2 (just a rear+/-).

Re: connecting sub box

It's really easy to tap into too... On the infinity amp there are two harnesses, you will need the one on the left (Tword rear of jeep.)

The pins you need are: Pin 15- RR+, Pin 5 RR-

Then if you need the 4 wire input you can use: Pin 16 LR+, and Pin 6 LR-

Your remote turn on wire is also Pin 13
