Factory Audio upgrade question

Hi everyone.

I am from the UK and in December 2010 I became the proud owner of a 2001 WJ Grand Cherokee Limited Edition 4.7 V8.
I have sorted a few of the usual problems such as blend doors and boot actuator but last week my factory fitted stereo died. It was one of the Infinity 2x7 pin ones that had a Radio, tape and single CD. As luck would have it my local breakers yard had a Jeep in there and I managed to rip out the stereo and CD changer. This was different to mine because I didn't have a CD changer before and this head unit only has a radio and tape. I fitted the CD changer this morning but then found there was no cable under the panel, even though a cable plugged in at the head unit end. Can someone please tell me what I am missing to connect from the dash end to the changer in the boot and where any such cable would terminate under the dashboard.

Thanks in advance.

Russ.

Re: Factory Audio upgrade question

All sorted, I just brought a new standard cable and it worked fine. Was a bit confused as to why there was already a cable coming out the back of the original stereo, which is why I thought it must plug in somewhere else under the dashboard. Anyway I just plugged it straight into the back of the head unit and it worked fine.
