Re: FINALLY! After months of waiting...

The funny thing is that with can bus you litteraly have to connect like 8 wires, and it's done. since everything is controlled through the BUS system. Even with the remote start... Not like old cars, the last car I did was a 13 hour job; my Wj 1.5 hours

Except for the windows, there's 10 more for the up and down.

Re: FINALLY! After months of waiting...

I guarantee you i can take your wheels with out ever setting your alarm off no matter what you have added to it. Tilt, shock, i dont care, ill take em. If i dont think i can and i really want them ill do one of 3 things. Flat bed it, drill a hole through your fender into your battery, or cut the 12V lead at your starter. On most cars and trucks that kills power to the whole truck. No im not a thief im an installer. I see these kinds of tricks all the time.

Re: FINALLY! After months of waiting...

how are you going to drill through a fender without setting off the alarm. Also how would you get that close without setting off a perimeter alarm?

Re: FINALLY! After months of waiting...

What about the DEI batery pack? How are you going to shut off the power to that too? And if you have a good properly installed tilt sensor the alarm will also go off if you try to flatbed it.

I guarantee you CAN'T take even one of my wheels off, I also guarantee you couldn't get it on a flatbet, drill a hole, get to my 12V or any other "idea" you may have without setting off my alarm. I don't think you understand how independent suspension works. I'm blown away that someone would actually think that would work. Someone needs a physics class.

Re: FINALLY! After months of waiting...

Dont forget that as a thief i couldnt care less about messing up your truck. Id have no problem jacking up on the arm itself. A tilt sensor will allow some tilt befor it actually goes off. Do you always park on level ground? No, it's gota have some room for day to day parking situations. Put a jack under a control arm and with your 22"s all i need is a pump or 2 and the tire is off the ground. As far as a tow, when i was doing repo work we hooked and were gone with in a few seconds. Didnt even have to get out of the truck. For the full time 4wd trucks, a few bolts and the rear driveshaft is out. The guy who thought he was smart and parked his truck behind his 80K benz was in for a surprise when we hooked it from the front and draged in 4 blocks. Put it down turned around re hooked and drove back past his house LOL now that was good times. Believe me where there is a will there is always a way. Drilling into a battery is nothing. How hard do you think it is to drill through a fender or wheel skirt or even directly through the hood? Arm your alarm, lay on the ground and work your way over to your jeep. I bet you never trip your alarm ;-)

Just give up. You would do none of those things without setting off my alarm, Now that you realize putting a block under the front and letting out the air wont work, You move to a jack? The alarm WILL go off with half of a pump (thats what she said!)

Now you're talking about stealing someones hard earned Mercedes? You parents must be proud.

Re: FINALLY! After months of waiting...

I know I'm late to this party but I just stumbled on it. I'm Jeep95XJ's father and yes, I'm damn proud of him. He stated he's not a thief but as an installer he sees and hears all the tricks of the trade good and bad. He didn't steal anyones Benz. He worked for a repo company. Very different from stealing, right?
