First Audio Setup

Review:simple, out of the way, Loud + deep for first sub, expensive, but works it for me

After much thought and some crutchfield advice, I went with the jl Stealthbox and Pioneer GM-D5800m

Over fall break, I finally got all my stuff done. Audio connection in towson did the initial installation for the amp and the stealthbox. I hated how they would not put the amp in my storage bin. I wanted to utilize my space in my trunk, and I hated be careful about taking down the seat. So i reinstalled myself.

First Setup

rerouting

New amp spot
new system setup

New system

Re: First Audio Setup

that amp is gonna need some breathing room.....you may run into overheating issues, but overall nicely done

brands of amps are different......some run very hot and some run cold, i've ran some amps that i could fry an egg on they were so hot, and thats only playin music for about a half hour (4ohms)..... and i've ran my current amp full tilt for almost 6 hours (long highway trip) and it was barely warm (1 ohm), it just depends on the brand and quality of the amp....alot of factors like voltage, ohms, airspace, ect, ect also can effect the temp. of the amp

I was worried about the overheating but I went on an eight hour trip back to college and i never ran into issues. And it was bumpin loud the entire time!

Hopfully this class-d pioneer amp holds up.... It does get somewhatwarm down there.

Re: First Audio Setup

600$ at crutchfield.com, i believe.

much more expensive then others options. You can get better audio and bigger speakers for less, but i just looooove this option because it stays out of the way.
