Got Nav update flyer - any chance this is free under warranty??

Just got a flyer from Jeep stating a nav update is available for $199!!! Before I pay this, is there any chance I might be able to get a free upgrade since my GC is still under factory warranty??

What are the "Harmon Becker" updates?? Are these for previous Jeep models or are they compatible with the NAVTEQ system??

Harmon Becker is the company that makes the MyGig. Their updates are for the operating system.

NAVTEQ is the company that compiles the map data. Their updates are not free.

GraceNotes is the company that updates the Artist/Track/Album database. Their updates are free.

Check eBay. Used disk may be cheaper

Unless you travel quite a bit, yearly updates are really not necessary. They're mainly just adding new subdivisions with street names, or perhaps a POI list.

They sent me the update disc, but still have to pay $199 for an activation code.
