I downloaded the file Gracenote.RHR.5411.iso from your site the other day. I have not tried the install yet but is this not the newest version that you have for the RHR? The RHR 4118.ISO is still there as well.

I thank you as well for providing these files for the general public's use.

Re: GRACENOTES Update RHR 4118

I updated my 730N RHR operating system to 2.184 last night via DVD method with no problem.

I had Gracenotes database 3265 loaded stock. I attempted to update to db 5411 also using the DVD method. Install crashed with 90% complete. Screen said "serious error has occurred" then the system rebooted. Gracenotes database is now wiped out.

I attempted to load Gracenotes 5411 again this afternoon. Database starts loading but crashed with approximately 80% complete. Again, screen said "serious error has occurred" then rebooted.

Question:

Should I have tried updating to db 4118 first and then db 5411?

I've heard about people encountering the "serious error has occurred" message through various posts in other threads. However, they were loading via USB memory stick. That's why I chose the DVD route. However, this is proving to be a challenge...

Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Gerb

Re: GRACENOTES Update RHR 4118

Sox,

Did that last night. But, I will try again just incase there was file corruption. Is there any way to determine if the file I've downloaded is intact? Like a checksum or something similar?

Thank you very much.

Viele Grüße,

Gerb

Re: GRACENOTES Update RHR 4118

Sox,

I appologize. I am not sure what you are asking. "enzip"? I assume you meant to say unzip. However, nothing to unzip that I am aware of.

I copied the .ISO from your server and burnt the image to DVD. The utility I used is called AVS disc creator. I've been using this utility for years.

AVS Disk Creator is the same utility I used to burn the .ISO of firmware update 2.184 (which installed with no problems).

I downloaded the Gracenotes .ISO from your server again last night. I burned the image to disk using x2 speed. The first time I used x4 speed. This may have been an issue. However, I don't see how since I verify every disk I write.

I will attempt to update Gracenotes again later today using the new disk burned at x2 speed. I'll provide feedback once done.

Vielen Dank

Gerb
