Are you running both colors of blinker fluid?

Re: Help with Dual color blinker LEDs

Where do you have yours mounted? I mounted mine where the heat would easily dissipate!

They DO work......for about 5 minutes. As soon as the resistors heat up its all downhill from there. On, off, dim back to bright. Just crappy. I have them mounted on the inside of the fender up near the hood. I thought that would be a good spot.

Yes I am. The white fluid actually runs out quicker. No problem with the amber fluid.

Well lets both really try to figure ours out then. The same as you stated, I noticed mine work properly when I first turn the parking lights on. But then it seems after they run for a bit and the resistors are hot to the touch the white does not come on after turning the blinkers off.

I am running 3 ohm 50 watt resistors, what are you running?

I have 1.2 ohm 50 watt resistors I can try, will do that this weekend.

I also have different ohm 25 watt resistors I can try as well.

Honestly, I think there is no technical reason why these should NOT work properly in our cars.

I feel kind of stupid now. I was checking out the V-LEDS sight again to see if I can find who, what, where, when, why and how on these friggin things. I clicked on the dual color bulb pic and scrolled down to read this: "If you have a Jeep Cherokee SRT8, you will need a pair of 3 Ohm resistors wired into the high element turn signal wire." Now, if I'm not mistaken thats the middle wire on the bulb casing. (black and purple). If this is it which I will try tomorrow, I will feel like a complete ACE. For some reason, the SRT8 has to be wired different. I think SRT8s put out a little more juice which is enough to overheat the resistor. Switch from the black wire to the black/purple wire and its supposed to work. Good luck.

Re: Help with Dual color blinker LEDs

I drilled mine right in so that they are making perfect contact with the body!

I actually have mine hanging from aluminum wire off the cars frame next to the headlights. They are in free air, not touching anything.
