Install options for new stereo

I have an '05 Grand Cherokee w/Nav. I just bought a Kenwood DNX7160 as a replacement for the REC unit that was installed. Crutchfield gave me two options for a wiring harness. A PAC C2R-CHY4 adapter that lets me use the factory amp or a harness that bypasses the amp completely.

Which is the best option? The PAC adapter is less work but I know that I lose the ability to fade the audio between the front and rear. Will bypassing the amp cause any issues?

Any help or suggestions would be great.

Thanks

Re: Install options for new stereo

The key question is are you going to use the factory amp or install an amp now or in the near future?

I personally use the pac harness and it works great...
