The Super White xenon one close to the bottom of the page on the right. I bought one of these a while ago, but haven't put it in yet because I'm not messing with that nonsense in the winter.

Re: Interior LEDs...

Here is the CORRECT explanation and the solution. You can put in the glovebox led and the rear cargo led and not have a dimming issue. The reason this occurs is because when the light circuit goes to discharge the current, the led's draw is substantially less than an incandescant bulb. There is still some resistance (current) in the line. The led bulbs don't put enough load on the circuit in order to drain the current from the circuit. Goto Radio Shack and purchase Part# 271-135. It is $1.99 and actually comes with 2 resistors (you are only gonna use one). Wire this resistor inline to one of the footwell lights (easiest to work on and access). You can tap off each wire (one positive and one negative) and connect the resistor ends inline to those two wires. This resistor will dicipate the remaining current left in the circuit and your problem is solved. This is how I solved the dimming/led's staying on after the ignition is turned off issue. IT WORKS PERFECTLY!!!!!!!!

I hope that helps you and everyone else who is having that issue. Good luck!

Re: Interior LEDs...

Oh Yeah. Not that it matters, but I am using Xenon Depot's led's throughout my 2010 as well. I also encased my resistor with some shrink tubing or you can rap it in electrical type. The liquid electrical tape works well also.

Re: Interior LEDs...

What Fugiecat said...

I wired in a resistor (just like the one you'd use to correct a fast-flash issue with your LED turnsignals) and all was fixed. My fix is a bit more expensive than Fugie's but I had one laying around.

I only remember having to do this for the rear cargo area bulb in my WJ...I can't remember if I had to put in a second one anywhere else.

Re: Interior LEDs...

Has anyone that put a load resistor had any problems with the resistor getting to hot? I dont want anything to burn or melt while im driving.
