I was looking to install multi-color lights such as the ones found here http://www.ledunderbody.com/led-interior-light-kits-underseat-underdash.aspx

i am not sure on how exactly the install would work or the placement of the lights. also, i was looking for some kind of control module that would allow the lights to flicker along with the music but couldnt find anything for this specific use. i know that it is done to computers, homes, and clubs, but im wondering what i would need to make it work for interior car lights. any info would be greatly appreicated :D

I don't know about the flickering part, But I have added lights to the front foot wells and the rear cargo area. For the rear I tapped into the power in the back under the head liner, I think it was yellow with orange stripe and red with white stripe.. for the front I just tapped inot the lighter, not the constant power supply. this was the leds are only on when the car is on thus not draining the battery.. Both are pretty simple. Good luck

that helps cause i has hoping to put them in the front and back foot wells and in the cargo. where did you put them in the cargo and how did to connect your taps? wire nut and electrical tape?

Years ago I had some LED lighting that I purchased from PepBoys installed on a motorcycle. The On/Off switch had a built-in noise sensor that allowed you to set it to react to noise. I never used this function, but just to let you know they are out there.

patches, are you looking for different colored leds or are you looking for 1 light bar that has different colors? the later is called rgb strips bc they can produce any color as long as you get a module for them.

i would suggest ebay. they are much cheaper and also come with a remote so you can change the color to what you want. you will need a module if you get the rgb strips..

as far as power, depends on how many leds/strips you're running and how much power they pull. a good source is your ciggerate socket as that is already fused and you will not have to fuse. you can run a simple switch from there or you could use "add a fuse" and run a switch from there.

thanks for the info but i dont think thats exactly what im looking for. i dont think the lighting effect would be the same as the other interior LED kit that i was looking at. im really just looking for the music control module now.

You know what, I just realized what I had were neon lights, not LED.
