Hey all- got my new iphone 6 with ios 8 and paired it successfully with my 2010 WK. When I get a call, it rings through the car - but when I answer, it disconnects the Bluetooth connection.... anyone else having this issue? fixes - iPhone or uconnect?
(I know it's not an issue with iOS8 b/c is used my iPhone 4s running iOS8 on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday morning...)

Hope responding right; having a similar issue w/IOS8 on iPhone6 -- starts calling and then says "cellular data not available" and hangs up. It rings once on the recipients end also....

Having same issue - pairing went fine. it dials the number, and then plays a tone and disconnects. But what I found is that the call is still active on the iphone (if I switch from Uconnect to iphone) the call is there.

Definitely not the iphone 6. It has something to do with the UConnect.

Has anyone called Jeep about it?

If so - what did they say?

I called and they said that the software isn't supported yet....stay tuned.

The wife has a 2014 Wrangler Unlimited and tried to pair an iphone 6 running IOS 8, says it paired successfully but will not let you utilize the phone. Will not receive or make phone calls. Called Jeep and their response was "Maybe there is an issue as we have been getting a lot of calls about the iphone and the new software." My question was when do you expect to have a firmware update, answer "I don't know, keep checking the website." Really, Think I am going to raise hell with the dealership tomorrow....

I found this in another forum:

Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
This will reset all network settings including: previously connected Wi-Fi networks and passwords, recently used Bluetooth accessories, VPN, and APN settings.

Once this is done - then delete the pairing from your iphone and then pair your phone to your car again.

Going to try this first thing tomorrow.

Here is exactly what I did

Day 1
- Deleted old Phone pairing
- Paired new device
- Tried a call from the phone - Failed!
- Tried to start a call through Uconnect - Dialed then said Call disconnected even through it was still ringing..
- Was able to play music through BT.

Day 2
- Turned on the car
- Connected to Bluetooth
- Tried to make a call - Failed!
- Reset (rebooted) the phone
- Made a call - WORKED

I hope that helps.

Will try. I deleted the phone, reset all network settings. Then I added the phone back on and it still didn't work. It dropped the call after one ring and still appeared to be ringing though it wasn't. Maybe tomorrow's a better day .....thanks for the info!! To top things off, I got the blue screen of death on my iPhone six LOL!!!! ?

OK - I'm on day 3 of testing and finally got mine working.

here is what I did.

First I loaded 8.0.1 update and it bricked my phone. It went into "Searching" for AT&T and couldnt find it (Apple has since pulled 8.0.1 because of all the problems today).

So I followed the instructions to restore the phone to Factory Defaults:

1. Turn off the iphone 6.
2. Plug the iphone 6 USB cable into your computer that has itunes loaded on it. Once you plug in the cable, you have to immediately hold down the "home" button (which is the round button with the fingerprint sensor on it), keep it held down until you see a picture on the phone that shows itunes and the USB cable.
3. Open itunes on your computer and you should see your iphone listed and you can click the button that says "Restore".

Click Restore again to confirm that you want to restore your device to factory settings and delete all data and content. iTunes will download the iOS 8 software file and restore your iOS device.

After your iOS device is restored to factory settings, it will restart, and you’ll see the "Slide to set up” welcome screen.

Once I did the "Slide to setup at the welcome screen, I followed all the prompts, HOWEVER, I did NOT restore from an icloud backup.

I joined my wireless and downloaded all my previous apps manually. I setup my email manually. I do not use anything from a previous icloud backup.

Then I went into the Jeep and paired it. It worked fine.

I had all my Contacts, Notes, etc inside my Exchange email account so they synced fine when I setup my email account.

I think perhaps there is something in the previous icloud backup that screws up the bluetooth when you migrate to IOS 8. This way by loading IOS 8 and setting up the phone like it is a brand new iphone, and not restoring the backup, it seemed to fix my problem.

Good luck!

Bummer!!! Are you having same kind of trouble? And was it after the iOS update?

My blue tooth worked this morning but that won't work either now. And after that if I tried to hook up the Bluetooth it just kept looking like it was on a call connecting and when I press the phone button to end, it said transferring to phone but nothing was on either one so I couldn't even connect to the Bluetooth

Amazing.......Apple releases iPhone6 & iOS8 and people have trouble with uConnect pairing/calling. iPhone users seem to think it's a uConnect problem so Jeep owners call Jeep for a fix. Way to go Apple.

Call Apple, it's their (new, buggy) software and it's not compatible with uConnect. Perhaps Apple wants you to buy the iCar for easy system integration.

If your Apple iPhone gets bent in your back pocket sitting in your Jeep, is it Jeep's fault? The devil made me ask that. Nevermind.
