Kicker audio, ready to upgrade my amp class D

As the title states, Im wondering has anyone upgraded their kicker audio package to an outside source class D 4 channel? I just ordered an Alpine PDX 4.100 and want some opinions on this. I hope they can handle the power. After being so used to the volume levels of the Boston system the Kickers levels could be better, although I love the clarity of them.

Im going to be using a AudioControl LC6i Line Output Converter - OEM Interface to accomplish this. I know I questioned this before but now its set in stone, being done this next week.

So the PDX4.100 was discontinued as ALpine fans already know. However the Authorized dealer sold it to me AND took my money before telling me this, so I got a PDX-F4 which is the replacement for less than $300. Im very stoked about that. The question I have if anyone will even answer, lol, between this amp and my PDX1.600 how will my power supply react? Am I going to look like a dick head with my lights blinking? With just the mono amp and the sub knob 1/2 volume pushing my W6 it doesn't affect the lights at all. Any suggestion what to do to overcome this if it does happen. Thanks in advance for helping a dunce guys!

Only thing to do is try the two amps together. If you find that there is too much draw and your lights start dimming at times of high output you can always add a capacitor to your system. They are easy and relatively cheap to install as well.

I thought that guys were saying cap's are bullshit and don't work? If that will do it for me, then great!

a friend bought a $120 capacitor and his battery has died a few times, to the point he had to get a new battery.

Start kicking me out some better options please guys. You audio/stereo guys know way more than me. The amp will be here today and install tomorrow. I like to do something right once not repeat for correct effect, and I just don't know this stuff!

I thought about that as well, but I don't want to add that much extra weight as Im at the track 4 times a week, every 100lbs is roughly a 1/10th of a second. Would a yellow top help?

i can honestly tell u i dont know what a yellow top is..the battery is only 14 lbs..and its pretty easy to take out and reinstall if you want to take it out

So a mini type battery! Ok, Ill check into that as well! Thanx Bro. A yellow top or red top are sealed high quality high amp gel batteries made by optima.

ahh i see..yeah dude check out the battery for sheezy..thats the route im gonna go when i do my stereo.

quick question, Are you running subs? if so whats the wattage on them and the amp

I'm running a 10" w6 rated at 600w rms and pushing it with an Alpine PDX 1.600 which is putting out 600w.

your lights wont flicker bro. dont worry about your power..i was pushing ALOT more than that (2 500w subs and a 760 watt amp) and i never had problems..i would wait and if problems arrise then go ahead and get a battery but i dont think u will need to man JMO

Installed an LC8i on Saturday along with the Alpine PDX-F4 amp, the kickers are still installed and sound phenomenal! I am once bored with this setup installing Focal's all around. For now though its good to go! The head lights at the upper extremes of the volume levels do flicker a little, I'll try a yellow top first to counter this and then go from there.
