Led interior lighting 2007 Grand Cherokee.

Last week I installed Leds into the interior light units of my Jeep Map lights, rear grab handle lights, footwell lights, glovebox and cargo area.
Looks great and very bright at night !!
But have just noticed that they do not fully switch off when driving or when the jeep is left locked up.
Any ideas why this is?

Re: Led interior lighting 2007 Grand Cherokee.

There are a lot of posts about this. Search it and you'll find everything you need to know. Simple fix, just keep one of the lights stock. Either the cargo light or one of the footwells.

Doesn't the cargo light require a resistor? I'm looking into doing this as well for my WJ, but trying to translate bulb numbers is a pain

Thanks I did a search after I posted and found the resistor thread.

Stonecold what lamps are you having problems with, Some of the US lamp numbers double up and several numbers are the same lamps.
I sourced all of mine from RS Components and E bay less than 25 for the lot.

I was back and forward from ebay to wjjeeps. Some of the guys on ebay didn't have a clue about US numbers. My first experience I ended up with completely the wrong thing for the low beam headlights. Guy took them back and refunded no probs, BUT I still see a lot of sellers with the wrong bulbs claiming they'll fit.

I'll have a look at RS Components though. Cheers for that 25 is a great price

Re: Led interior lighting 2007 Grand Cherokee.

I tried to get some Bright white headlight lamps for the Jeep, 3 catalogues listed 3 different types of low beam lamps for the headlights I have given up for now and am busy with other little mods etc.But we are up past your place again next weekend, Due to the large amount of snow they have had we are going to play in Aviemore again!!

I got bulbs eventually, no probs. You should have similar bulbs to mine "9006's". If you're passing and fancy a brew, give me a shout
