Re: Lockpick installed

The Version 3 allows you to update the lockpic through a usb port instead of having to call in and have to get the CD to update.

Just under by a penny. However you need to pay shipping.

Re: Lockpick installed

There are different pockpick models... one for the REC NAV (2005-2007 JGC) and one for the newer style NAV for 2008's and above. The lockpick is awesome and it allowed me to watch DVD's, two cameras, and on the go NAV entry. However, after loading my latest and greatest REC NAV disc even with resetting the lock pick back to default I can no longer enter NAV on the go. Oh well...

Unless someone has a trick up there sleeve to resolve this minor set back

Why didnt you just get the update disk from Coastaltech? They are free for life and are specifically made for people with the lock pic installed

Possibly a stupid question, i have the REJ NAV 2006, (euro version) and I can change routes on my satnav while i drive, why is that? Is it a law thing over there in the states?

Other thing, i guess it will let me watch dvd movies when they are loaded up in the rear dvd console right? and if i connect my ipod will it allow me to control it from the my head unit? i guess probably not.

I have to install mine, I got it from a member at the red site, I'm nervous about breaking something while removing the panel. Your picture is not clear to me, where did you actually install it?

Review the video on Coastal Tech's web site, that should help you out. I'd suggest getting a set of plastic trim removal tools (about $8 from Harbor Freight or Tool King) - these helped me ease out the trim around the heater ducts.
