Looking at replacing my head unit

I see that people have been installing those Pioneer double din head units.

are those a direct install for the WK with the nav unit?

are there install kits?

I have a laredo, so i know im going to need to get my hands on the parts to convert the dash to the double din opening anyway.

Does anyone have parts numbers and what i will need?

Nothing aftermarket is a direct swap without at least a dash kit and wiring harness.

As you pointed out, you'll need the WK nav bezel, a dash kit, a wiring harness that converts the factory wiring to a universal plug, then a brand specific (Pioneer, Kenwood, Alpine, etc) harness to go from the universal plug to the actual unit (or you can simply splice into the harness with the harness that comes with the receiver), and then two antenna adapters.

Below, you can see all the part numbers (from manufacturer Metra) for the WK that I speak of, minus the harness that goes to the specific brand receiver.

I think justforjeeps.com sell them ~ $70-80.

I have that metra kit and maybe I am unlucky, but it was a complete pile of assholes.
It never fit quite right

Damn, that sucks, lol. I used to sell their stuff and always found it to be pretty high quality compared to other competitors.
