Yeah.

One is plenty for me (and my goals). I don't want to take up too much room. If I went with a multi-sub design I'd have a HUGE vented, low-tuned enclosure to achieve a good FR plot (and low F3). I've got a 10" now with ~500 watts and had a 12" with 250 watts. I am/was happy with them, so a 12" with 500 watts will be perfect! Not to mention the new sub is substantially better. Well regarded as a GREAT SQ/SQL sub and blends very well with the front stage.

Just bought a set of the Peerless SLS 6.5's.

I need to get away from the DIYMA classifieds section, lol.

Re: Matt's 2006 WK Stereo Build Log

Diamond D6 12 is in!! Man, this thing rocks and I have ZERO processing! I have it in a 1.2 ft^3 sealed enclosure. I'm going to mount the temporary enclosure in the back while I work on the fiberglass enclosure.

I'll have my Alpine 9887 in tomorrow, so pics and feedback to come.

I'm tempted, but they go for $80 shipped from an authorized dealer. Shipping is likely going to cost $20, so I'd have to sell a used sub (but in perfect condition) for $50 at the most + shipping. Just not worth it just in case I want to revert back to this stereo - though that is doubtful, lol.
